The marine environment is a complex and diverse system, in which physical and biological elements interact over a wide range of spatial and temporal scales. Intrigued by this richness and diversity, we aspire to investigate marine systems at the interface between scientific discplines.

The approach we take is based primarily on collection, analysis and interpretation of remote-sensing data from satellites and drones. These data are used to characterize variability patterns and motions over multiple spatial (meters to thousands of kilometers) and temporal (minutes to decades) scales, and to gain insights on interrelationships between system's components.
